1/5/2025           "My Childhood made me a UU"                                                                         Des Shaw

Most of us became UUs in later life, and when we hold a service on "How I Became a UU" it's typical to discuss the events that directly led to our finding our way to our spiritual home here in Pomona.  But in this service Des Shaw is going further back, to childhood, and will be looking at how his upbringing predisposed him to be receptive to UU ideas when he eventually encountered them. In the discussion period you may share your own upbringing that set you up to become a UU.

Being skeptical can prevent us from putting our faith in nonsense. Today's sermon will explore the ways our skepticism can be challenged in ways we can't explain.

A collaborative Sunday. RCSL's annual theme is “Rooted in Oneness: Living As Principle".  Rev. Melissa will revisit the fundamentals of Science of Mind and Spirit. This Sunday we immerse ourselves in "What IT Does".  We know that Spirit can only do For us what It can do Through Us.
